· Italian Television Systems is PAL (Phase Alternating Line)
· Italy has Digital Terrestrial, Satellite and Cable programming television. Digital format is used through a prepaid smartcard, and includes football games, movies and TV shows. Satellite TV is viewed in HDTV broadcasting movie and sport channels by SKY Italia pay TV platform. Cable TV is public television network and is primarily devoted to playing news and information.
· There are two national television organizations RAI and Mediaset that control Italian television and what is televised.
· The most prominent newspaper published in Italy was the Corriere della Sera compared to the New York Times.
· Some top magazines are Glamour and Famiglia Cristiana Moderna one of the largest selling weekly magazine.
